Clubs and organizations add another dimension to your college experience. In addition to strengthening your ties to the college and community they help you develop leadership skills and styles. Club membership can provide practical experience that may benefit your job search or transfer opportunity and can also create lasting friendships. Upon your arrival on campus, we hope that you make the decision to get involved.

Clubs
Accounting and Business Association
Advisor: TG Imo
This club creates opportunities to experience and participate in functions and activities which will prove beneficial to the development of each member’s professional goals. To broaden and expand the knowledge, skills and awareness of its members as well as provide an opportunity to become part of a group. The club meets Wednesdays at noon in Room 287B.
Active Minds
Advisor: Amber Gilweski
Active Minds works to utilize the student voice to change the conversation about mental health on college campuses. They provide information and resources regarding mental health and mental illness, encourage students to seek help as soon as it is needed, and serves as liaison between students and the mental health community. The club meets Mondays at noon in Room 280B.
Broadcast Club
Advisor: Chris Xaver
The Broadcast Club discusses issues of concern and opportunities to explore the radio and television industry. The club meets Wednesdays at noon in room 147A.
Cinema Club
Advisor: Christine Guest
The Cinema Club explores educational opportunities in the film industry and provides members with hands-on activities related to film making. The club meets Wednesdays at noon in Room 183.
Drama Club
Advisor: Lisa Ford
This club promotes theater, examines different types of performance and educates others about drama and theater. The club meets Mondays at noon in Room 112.
Gay-Straight Alliance
Advisor: Ali Beach
This club promotes an understanding of sexual orientation and health issues. They work to dispel myths and end discrimination regarding alternate lifestyles and are supportive of their membership and the community at large. The club meets Monday and Wednesdays at noon in Room 280C.
Habitat for Humanity
Advisor: Susan Cerretani
This student chapter works locally to provide new and rehabilitated homes for partner families. The club meets Wednesdays at noon in Room 227.
Hotel and Restaurant Association
Advisor: Marcia Waffner
The HRA develops aggressive and competent leadership by strengthening confidence, developing character and integrity and working cooperatively toward higher common goals. The club meets Wednesdays at noon in Room 150.
Nursing Club
Advisor: Sandra Moser
The Nursing Club promotes leadership and professionalism in nursing by exploring issues related to nursing, health care and nursing education. They support the personal development of its members and create networking opportunities. Club meetings are specifically announced.
Otaku Café
Advisor: Ken Whitener
This club explores the culture and traditions of Japan with special interest in fashion and anime. The club meets Fridays at noon in Room 280D.
Outdoor Adventure Club
Advisor: Pat Mercer
This club provides its members with an opportunity to enrich their lives through outdoor activities. Not only do members create good memories and friendships, ideals such as an appreciation for the environment, leadership, trust and fair play are either learned or enhanced. The club meets Fridays at noon in Room 293B.
Sport Management Club
Advisor: Lauren Wright
The Sport Management Club creates an experiential learning opportunity for students interested in the sports industry. They promote interest and broaden awareness and provide a forum for discussion of topics related to sport management. The club meets Wednesdays at noon in Room 281B.
Students Acting for a Greener Earth—SAGE
Advisor: Kelly Wessell
SAGE encourages and educates the college, community and individuals regarding sustainability practices and issues. The club meets Wednesdays at noon in Room 280D.
Writer's Guild
Advisor: Ron Starmer
Writer’s Guild improves, enriches, and inspires their member’s writing , while striving to increase community awareness of writing skills. The club meets Fridays at noon in Room 280E.
Meetups
MeetUps are simply opportunities for students, faculty, and staff with a common interest that get together on a regular basis. They don’t program, travel, or fundraise – but they do enjoy gathering over a shared passion!
Alpha Omega Christian Fellowship
Coordinator: Sarah Vogel
This MeetUp allows students to come together to study the Bible and its message of love and forgiveness through the Lord Jesus Christ. The MeetUp meets Mondays at noon in Room 286 and Fridays at 7PM in Building D – 4th floor classroom, Residence Halls

Student Advisory Board
Advisor:Deb Mohlenhoff
Members of The Student Advisory Board devote time and energy into making our community one that has a strong student interest based direction. Meetings are held once a week, on Fridays at noon. TC3 is embarking on a period of change. New planning strategies will help determine the direction of the college’s future. The expansion of program offerings has created a deep need for the student voice to be heard.
College Entertainment Board
Advisor: Robin Slocum
The College Entertainment Board looks to provide something for everyone in the categories of music, comedy, film/video, novelty and social programs. CEB members plan, promote and present programs, develop leadership skills and get to enjoy all the behind the scenes action. Meetings are specifically announced. |
