Panther Fitness Challenge
OverviewThe Panther Fitness Challenge is collaborative TC3 program that provides students an exciting opportunity to improve their health through friendly team competition. Program DetailsStudent contestants will participate and compete in teams of 5 members throughout the 10 week program. Physical Fitness will be measured, and team and individual prizes awarded, according to the following health parameters.
All contestants will be challenged to improve cardiovascular endurance and physical strength during the 10 week program. Weight loss goals will be determined by each contestant with consultation with his/her coach and other PFC staff. For some contestants, significant weight loss may NOT be the primary goal. For others, losing body fat may be central to their participation in the PFC. ParticipationParticipation in mind/body workshops, fitness challenges, and weekly weigh-ins are mandatory. Contestants will be selected by PFC staff for their potential to actively engage in the Panther Fitness Challenge as a teammate and desire to attain a healthy lifestyle. Contestants may be of all levels of health and fitness. CostParticipation in the Panther Fitness Challenge is $40 per person. Support for students in need may be available. PrizesPrizes will be awarded to the fittest team and most improved individual. ApplicationApply by completing an application and submitting it to the Student Health Center, room 118A, by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2012.
