Meal Plan Frequently Asked QuestionsDoes TC3 offer a meal plan?Yes, beginning in Fall 2009, the College will offer an affordable, flexible meal plan in our newly renovated TC3 Eatery. What are my meal plan options?Students living in campus housing are required to purchase an 8, 10 or 12 meals-per-week semester plan. Commuters have the option of purchasing a 5, 8, 10 or 12 meals-per-week semester plan. 12 Meals/Week Plan - BEST VALUE$950/Semester includes $150 flexible dollars ($4.38 Cost per Meal) 10 Meals/Week Plan$850/Semester includes $150 flexible dollars ($4.60 Cost per Meal) 8 Meals/Week Plan - Minimum Plan required for students in Campus Housing$750/Semester includes $150 flexible dollars ($4.93 Cost per Meal) 5 Meals/Week Plan - Commuter ONLY$500/Semester includes $100 flexible dollars ($5.26 Cost per Meal) What are flexible dollars?Flexible dollars are monies available for food items not included in the defined meal plan. They expire at the end of semester, but can be used at any interval during the semester as opposed to a week by week basis. I have documented dietary restrictions and I live in campus housing; may I waive the meal plan?Campus housing students may submit the Special Housing or Dining Request Form to request a waiver from the meal plan. How do I sign up for a meal plan?If you live in campus housing, you will automatically be enrolled in and charged for the 8 meals-per-week plan. Commuters should contact the Enrollment Services Center, Room 215 or by phone at 607-844-6580. You may also email TC3rb@TC3.edu or submit the Commuter Meal Plan Enrollment Form, to the Enrollment Services Center, Room 215 or fax 607-844-6541. May I increase my meal plan?Yes, you may increase your meal plan option up until Thursday, September 10, 2009. May I decrease my meal plan?No. When does my meal plan begin?Meal plans will be available beginning on your first day of Orientation. What are my payment options?Payment options include: Cash, check, credit card, money order, FACTS payment plan and available financial aid. Available financial aid is the credit balance after your anticipated aid has been applied to tuition, fees and campus housing. Please keep in mind that financial aid used toward your meal plan competes with the amount of available financial aid that can be used for book deferrals. May I use financial aid to pay for my meal plan?It depends; you must have available financial aid. Is the number of meals per week adjusted when there are college holidays?Yes, semester meal plans are prorated on a weekly basis based on the college calendar. What happens if I don’t use the number of meals per week that are in my plan?You will lose any unused meals at the end of each week. Can I use more than one meal during a single period?No. You may only use one meal per breakfast, lunch or dinner period.
