Panthers Finish Seventh in Region

The Tompkins Cortland Community College golf team finished seventh at the NJCAA Region III Tournament, recording a two-day team total of 702. The regional title was won by Monroe Community College with a score of 642, 17 strokes ahead of second-place Erie Community College. The two-day, team event is being hosted by TC3 at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course at Cornell University.
 
Troy Whittemore (Ithaca H.S./Ithaca) led TC3 with a tournament score of 168, finishing 17th overall and just out of all-region position. Andrew Farrell (East Syracuse-Minoa H.S./East Syracuse) finished at 177, just ahead of Craig Smith (Remsen H.S./Remsen) at 178 and Zach Taylor (Owego Free Academy/Owego) at 179.
