Panthers Take Third at Spartan Classic

Auburn—A big second half led the TC3 women’s basketball team to a win in the consolation game of Cayuga Spartan Classic Sunday. The Panthers took third at the tournament with a 58-43 win over Division II Niagara County Community College Sunday. The Panthers are now 3-4 overall on the season and 2-0 against scholarship teams.
 
TC3 led most of the first half, but a late run by Niagara put the Panthers in a hole at the half, 25-24. The deficit didn't last long, as TC3 came out and took control in the second half. A 34-18 scoring advantage in the second half gave the Panthers the convincing win.
 
Meghan Taylor (Delaware Academy/Delhi) carded another double-double, posting 14 points and 11 rebounds to earn all-tournament honors. Nicole Reid (Southern Cayuga H.S./Aurora) added 14 points for the winners.
 
The Panthers travel to Schenectady County Community College Tuesday.
