Panthers Fall to 2-3 with Loss

Myrtle Beach, SC—TC3 fell to 2-3 in its spring break trip to Myrtle Beach with an 11-3 loss to Monroe Tuesday.
 
Against Monroe, TC3 again started slowly, missing a scoring opportunity in the top of the first by failing to score after getting runners on first and third with one out. In the bottom of the inning, a misplayed fly-ball with two outs turned into a two-run triple and opened the door on a four-run inning. Monroe added three more in the second before TC3 put together a rally in the fourth. Amber Wallace (Canastota/Canastota) led off the inning with a single before TC3 loaded the bases with one out. A walk and a groundout scored two before Jess Miller (Owego Free Academy/Owego) stroked a two-out single to score TC3's final run. Monroe responded with three of their own in the bottom of the inning before scoring again to end the game in the fifth.
