Panthers Drop Shootout

Syracuse—The Tompkins Cortland Community College men's basketball team lost a shootout Wednesday, falling at Onondaga Community College 117-113. The Panthers drop to 12-11 overall and 7-4 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference while Onondaga is 16-11 overall and 7-4 in MSAC.
 
After the two teams went to the locker room tied at 49-49, the game really opened up in the second half. The teams combined for an amazing 132 points in the second half, with the home team outscoring TC3 68-64 to pull out the win.
 
Five Panthers reached double-figures in scoring, led by Jailaan Kinsey (Jamesville-Dewitt H.S./Dewitt) with 27 points. James Tucker (Saratoga Springs H.S./Saratoga Springs) posted 23 points and Floyd Leroy (Albert Magnus H.S./Spring Valley) had 21, marking the first time this season the Panthers had three players top 20 points in a game. Tyrone Clark (Elmira Free Academy/Elmira) added 14 points and Damani Ashton (Mount Vernon H.S./Mount Vernon) finished with 13.
 
TC3 ends the regular season Saturday with a home game against Cayuga Community College.
