2010 Coaches

Head Coach Pat Carroll

Pat CarrollPat Carroll enters his fourth year at the helm for the Panthers. He has steadily grown the program, improving in win totals each year. Carroll was an assistant coach at Herkimer County Community College in 2005, helping lead the Generals to a school-record 21 wins and a birth in the NJCAA Region III playoffs. He played at Herkimer in 2001 and 2002 before transferring to Ithaca College. While earning his bachelor's degree in sociology at Ithaca, Carroll played in 44 games, hit .250 with 24 runs scored, two home runs, and 14 runs batted in while seeing time at first base, third base, designated hitter, and in the outfield. He also pitched in six games, compiling a 1-1 record. During his time on South Hill, the Bombers went 58-21, reaching the NCAA playoffs both years.
 
In the summer of 2010, Coach Carroll will take on a new challenge as the pitching coach of the Glens Falls Golden Eagles of the New York Collegiate Baseball League (NYCBL). At Glens Falls, Coach Carroll will work with some of the top collegiate players from across the country while working with Head Coach John Mayotte, a two-time coach of the year in the NYCBL and currently ranked #12 on the all-time wins list for NCAA Division II.


Assistant Coach Ryan Stevens

Ryan StevensCoach Stevens has been with the Panthers since the return of baseball in 2007. He is a coach for the Texarkana Gunslingers, a team in the professional, independent Continental Baseball League and previously has worked with the Tompkins County Classics of the NY/Canadian Baseball League. He also serves as a pitching instructor for Midwest Baseball Academy’s winter session. A collegiate player at SUNY Cobleskill and Frostburg State (Md.), Coach Stevens works predominantly with the pitching staff, but assists in all aspects of the program, including recruiting.
