Library Update For Faculty
Library services never stop changing. Every once in a while we like to step back and make sure we’re keeping you up to date. Here are some of the changes we’ve made in the last year or so. You may already be using some of these services. Others might surprise you. The entire library staff will be available Tuesday, January 19, 2010, from 9am – noon to show you all these new services, answer questions and get your feedback.
- Inter-Library Loan (ILL)
- The new interface lets you do lots more than request books.
- Writing & Research Center Services Menu
- The new Services Menu lets you choose specific content for instruction sessions. PLUS request appointments online.
- Database Page
- We’ve rearranged the list to make it easier to find exactly what you want.
- Online Reference: Ask US 24/7
- The new AskUs 24/7 service lets you chat with a librarian any time.
- Video-on-Demand
- We don’t have the movie you want? New options for downloading and streaming video.
- Mobile Library
- Our new app lets you search for articles on your smart phone.
- Academic Integrity
- We now do class visits to talk with students. PLUS New ANGEL integration feature.
- Course & Media Reserves
- Do we have your textbook on reserve? Try the Quick Search box.
- Make your reserve request online.
- Reserve videos for classroom use at the Service Desk.
