Why do I need an ID to use the library? How do I get one?
You need your TC3 ID to check out books. Your TC3 Card also gives you access to the
libraries of 64 SUNY campuses, including SUNY Binghamton, SUNY Cortland and the Catherwood Library at the School of Industrial Relations at Cornell University. The TC3 ID is your proof that you are a member of the College community. You can obtain an ID at TC3 Card office (Room 110).
How do I print in the Library?
Students may use the credit on their TC3 ID for photocopying or computer printing in the library. Full-time students (12 credit hours) get $14.40 worth of credit per semester on their TC3 Cards, part-time students get 15 pages per credit hour. The cash value is not refundable and expires at the end of each semester. For additional information see TC3 Card Frequently Asked Questions
How do I access the library databases and electronic reserves from off campus?
You can access our Electronic Databases from off campus. Use the number on your TC3 Card. Distance students or staff without a card can look up their ID number on IQ Web.
Is there wireless access in the library?
The Library is a Wireless Internet Access Area, one of many on campus. You will need to stop down to see someone in Academic Computing (Room 161A, ext. 4479) about setting up your laptop for access to the wireless network.
I need help with research. Where do I go? Can I get help from off campus?
The library has reference librarians on duty and ready to help you whenever the library is open. You can get help online through Ask a Librarian or by calling 607 844-8222, ext. 4363.
I am having trouble accessing the library databases. I get a message about ID number "activation."
For technical help contact Bill
Drew 844-8222, ext. 4406.
I work during the day. Do you have evening hours?
We are open until 9:00 pm Monday through Thursday and from 1:00 to 5:00 pm on Sundays during the Fall and Spring semesters.
I was wondering if you could possibly get a book I need? I have searched for it everywhere and cannot find it in any local libraries.
