WebCT Online Classroom

TC3 offers faculty and students a WebCT Online Classroom which can be used to provide students with a broad range of instructional material online. Think of your Online Classroom as a virtual classroom environment, rich in learning resources, where your students can:

• Access important course documents including your course schedule and outline, PowerPointpresentation archives, make-up quizzes, and assignments.
• Interact through extended discussions and/or question and answer sessions. Often the limited time spent in the classroom limits the amount of discussion possible. An online message board can solve this problem. Also available are real-time chat sessions with you and/or each other online.
• Discover links to online resources and activities that further strengthen your students' educational experience.

ETS can create a simple online classroom for you that contains your course outline, a discussion board, and a web-link/resource area, and, since we already have a template for these classrooms, setup is fast and easy. In fact, you don't even have to attend training workshops to get your online classroom up and running.

Note: Every student at TC3 has an account set up for our WebCT Online Classroom (OC). When an instructor decides to launch their OC, the students in the class are provided with a username and password, with which they can access the information from any computer with Internet access. Our online classrooms are created with a software product called WebCT.
