Nov 25:

• Time is growing short for your Field Project Plan. Remember that you must have it approved, not just turned in, by next Tuesday’s class.
• Chapter 10 quiz solutions have been posted.

Nov 24: There’s a new document Inferential Statistics Utilities for the TI-83/84 with a new TI-83/84 program, which will compute sample sizes among other things. Be sure to get the program from Professor Marvel on Tuesday.

Nov 18:

• Numerous revisions were made in the Chapter 9 quiz solutions.
• Solutions were posted for tonight’s quiz on the first part of Chapter 10.

Nov 11: Chapter 9 quiz solutions have been posted.

Nov 4:

• Chapter 8 quiz solutions have been posted.
• Chapter 9 lecture notes were revised.
• As announced in class, Inferential Statistics Cases is allowed on all quizzes and exams in addition to your own crib sheet. If you missed class tonight, be sure to get a copy of this handout next Tuesday.

Oct 30: The final exam schedule has been released. As expected, our exam is scheduled for 16 December, at the regular class time. I have updated the Course Schedule and Assignments accordingly.

Oct 29: Last night’s blackboard chart is now available as Sampling Distributions — Summary.

Oct 28:

• Chapter 7 quiz solutions have been posted.
• Course Schedule and Assignments was updated as announced in class.

Oct 21:

• Chapter 6 quiz solutions have been posted.
• The Course Schedule and Assignments was updated to add problem 17 to the Chapter 7 homework and remove inappropriate problems from the Chapter 6 homework..
• The solutions to the Chapter 6 practice test were updated to reflect use of the BINOMPRB program.

• Sullivan, Michael, Fundamentals of Statistics (Pearson Prentice Hall, 2008) — Either buy the printed textbook, or if you’re really comfortable reading a whole textbook online you can buy just the Student Access Kit and access course number brown76687 at coursecompass.com. You need one or the other, not both.
• any model TI-83 or TI-84. Buy on price; the few additional statistics features in the TI-84 Plus Silver Edition are not significant for our class. (If you have a TI-89, TI-92, or Voyage 200, please see the Web page Can I Use a TI-89 for Statistics Class?)
