Why Study at TC3

Reasons to Study at TC3

We are committed to global learning.

Located in one of the most diverse areas of upstate New York, Tompkins Cortland Community College values the worldwide perspective our international students bring to our community; we have incorporated this perspective into our courses, program, and activities. More than 70 international students from 35 countries are enrolled here each year, and we also provide scholarships for students to travel and study abroad. The College is a member of many international organizations, including the AACC, CCID, ACIIE and NAFSA: Association of International Educators. We encourage all our students to learn more about global issues beyond the international student population.

We are affordable.

We offer a quality, affordable education for international students. The cost of tuition is approximately $4,200 per 15-credit semester. Students in the Global Connections program may pay less. We also offer FACS, a tuition installment to help students.

We support international students' academic efforts

TC3 Global ensures that international students have the support they need to excel. Whether it's ESOL, tutoring, computer labs, housing, or multicultural student activities, TC3 Global makes sure that studying here is a challening yet rewarding experience.

Our classes are small.

Because the average class size at TC3 is only 18 students, faculty are able to devote more individual attention to those students they teach and advise.

We offer flexibility in our course selections.

We offer day, evening, weekend classes and web-based instruction. Students may combine some of these options to develop a schedule that meets their needs. We also offer international students transfer credit from other colleges, life-experience credit, and college-level proficiency exams in many subjects.

We provide many opportunities for academic excellence.
