Community colleges are committed to ensuring that their students succeed. They offer a comprehensive array of support services that include tutoring, advising, career planning, developmental courses, and counseling.

Colleges also offer extensive and intensive English programs to meet the needs of students with limited English proficiency prior to entry. In addition, most community colleges provide cross-cultural programs, advising on immigration questions and other services to their international students.

Most community colleges with students from other countries will have an office called International Center or International Programs, with full-time staff trained especially to be advisers to international students.
