Study Abroad Rhapsody Tour in Russia

A trip to Russia offers a unique opportunity to
get acquainted with Russian history and culture.


Russia spans 11 time zones and two continents, and is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. This is a spectacular country with an array of rivers, forests, and towering mountains. You have a chance to explore this land of striking beauty and diversity in the magnificent cities of Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Activities

Led by licensed local guides, we will visit the various beautiful attractions, sightsee, and go on walking tours of the cities.

Immerse yourself in the culture, and experience the circus and folklore performances these cities have to offer.

Instructors

Miguel Piery is coordinator of Study Abroad Programs and also chair of the Modern Languages Department at Tompkins Cortland Community College. He was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. After traveling extensively through Latin America and Europe, he came to Ithaca and graduated from Cornell. He has contributed to the organization of the study abroad trip to Russia, and helped to recruit and escort students to Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Radmila Veshcherevich is a native Russian speaker. She earned her degree in Russian Language and Literature in Russia. For the past seven years she has lived in the Ithaca area, teaching Russian at Tompkins Cortland Community College. She organized and led the TC3 Russia trip in Spring 2007, and is eager to return to Russia in Spring 2008.
