Professor of Business Administration
Mimi coordinates Tompkins Cortland’s Disney College Program. She has worked in hotels, restaurants, and travel agencies and holds a B. S. degree in Hotel Administration from Cornell University and an M. A. in Travel Administration and Tourism Development from The George Washington University. With professional interests focusing on quality customer service, experiential learning, and international education, she gets great satisfaction helping students to learn from their experiences at the Walt Disney World® Resort.
Assistant Director of Admissions/International Student Admissions Coordinator
Colleen coordinates the international student admissions process and the issuance of visas. She received two A.A.S. degrees from Tompkins Cortland Community College, one in Secretarial Science and one in Business Administration. Colleen has worked in various positions in the Admissions Office since 1985.
Director of Global Programs Development
Jorge has developed a wide variety of the global initiatives programs in his tenure at Tompkins Cortland. Starting in the business department as an instructor, Jorge became a full-time director in the global department beginning in 1994. With his B.A. from Cornell, Jorge continues to be an advocate for continued growth of our international initiatives throughout the College.
Director of Global Operations
Melinda coordinates the administration of our ESL special programs, develops international student support programming, and supports the ongoing growth of international student involvement and engagement at Tompkins Cortland. She has a TESOL certificate from the Tennessee Foreign Language Institute, and an M.A. in French from the University of Oregon. She began working in the area of international education in 1997. She joined the College's team in July of 2008.
Global Services Specialist
Maria graduated from Tompkins Cortland with a degree in Early Childhood in 2010, and completed her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish at SUNY Cortland in May of 2013. Maria brings a wealth of international experience to the global staff, having lived in Spain as a child as well as numerous other countries, including Venezuela, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic. Maria says she hopes someday to teach Spanish and that "Tompkins Cortland has always been like a second home, I love working here. I like the small community sense that everyone has in this building."
