Liberal Arts ElectivesFor degree purposes, TC3 groups Liberal Arts disciplines into the following three categories: humanities, social science, and math/science. See the document below for a list of courses that fit into each category. Liberal Arts Electives - as of Fall 2010 Please note that students who matriculated prior to Fall 2010 can utilize previous liberal arts guidelines for courses completed before fall 2010. For example, applied art courses like ART 111 and ART 120 are no longer classified as humanities courses; they can only be used as unrestricted electives. But, if a student matriculated in Fall 2009 and took ART 111 to fulfill a humanities elective BEFORE fall 2010, he or she can count that course. Unrestricted ElectivesAny course that earns academic credit may be used to fulfill the requirement. Some programs allow students to use COOP courses as unrestricted electives. Only three credits of FITN elective may be used in the unrestricted elective category. For more information, contact the office of Student Success and Advisement Services in room 215. |
