Direct Student Loan Program

Federal and State regulations have changed how we do business in student loans. We are in the process of transitioning our student loans to the Direct Student Loan Program. Direct Loans are:

• Simple-You borrow directly from the federal government and have a single contact, the Direct Loan Servicing Center, for everything related to the repayment of your loans, even if you receive Direct Loans at different schools.
• Convenient-You’ll have online access to your Direct Loan account information 24 hours a day, seven days a week at Direct Loans on the Web at: www.dl.ed.gov.
• Flexible-You can choose from several repayment plans that are designed to meet the needs of almost any borrower, and you can switch repayment plans if your needs change.

As always your Student Loan eligibility is determined from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid that you complete at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Once this information has processed, our financial aid office will send you an award letter that explains your Direct Loan eligibility. Should you wish to apply for the loan, you will need to return the loan request form to the financial aid office and log on to www.dl.ed.gov and complete the Entrance Counseling information and to www.dlenote.ed.gov to complete the Master Promissory Note.
