Program Teacher: Babette Carr

Description: This is a two-year program designed to help business majors prepare for careers in today’s “high tech” economy and for college. A typical schedule includes high school classes with time set aside for activities at a work site, seminars at central locations, and free courses at Tompkins-Cortland Community College. Course content involves using Microsoft Office, graphics, and telecommunications software in addition to developing job applications, record keeping, time management, public speaking, and workplace skills. Seniors will participate in Project Invest and a career or community service project. All students taking this course will receive college credit from Tompkins Cortland Community College for College Success course. Students may earn additional college credits for work experience (COOP). Students considering this two-year program should complete Introduction to Occupations and Keyboarding/Communications.
