• Computer Technology - CISCO (Computer Network Design)

Program Teacher: Anne Macera

Description: This CISCO Networking Academy at Candor program is two years in length and can result in a maximum of 6 credits toward graduation. The program includes a 6-week internship as well as a variety of industry and post-secondary site visitations.

Students who can enroll: Students in grades 10, 11 and 12 GED students up to the age 21 Candor Alternative School Students

• Computer Technology – A+ Computer Repair Program

Teacher: Steve Lindridge

Description: This A+ Computer Repair Academy at Candor program is two years in length and can result in a maximum of 6 credits toward graduation. The program includes a 6-week internship as well as a variety of industry and post-secondary site visitations.

Students who can enroll: Students in grades 10, 11 and 12 GED students up to the age 21 Candor Alternative School Students

• Principles of Technology Program

Teacher: Steve Lindridge

Description: Principles of Technology is a course in applied physics for students who plan to pursue a career as a technician or just keep pace with the advances in modern technology. This course blends an understanding of the basics and principles with practice. Principles of Technology is the study of ideas that technology is built on. Students learn the concepts of force, work, rate, resistance, energy and power. Units explain how these concepts relate to one another in mechanical, fluid, electrical and thermal systems. During this course students will put theory to practice as they conduct experiments that relate to real life scenarios, including but not limited to a fully functional go-kart.

• Electrical Technology and Media Arts Program

Teacher: John Benjamin

Description: Digital Electronics is a Concurrent Enrollment course that provides TC3 college credit that is transferable to most colleges, including the entire SUNY system.
