Drop-in tutoring is available in several locations and at various times depending on the subject. Check tutoring schedules for details.

Phone ahead to verify that your desired subject will be covered at the time you plan to be here as schedules change occasionally due to illness.

We also offer online tutoring for those who can’t make it to campus when our tutors are here.

Study Skills Assistance

Baker Center tutors are available to help you with study skills. Remember, our student tutors have already completed the required classes (they may have even had the same professor!) and are ready and willing to help you find new study skills techniques. More information and handouts are available at the study skills assistance webpage. Call 607.844.8222, Ext. 4414 or E-mail the Baker Center to schedule an appointment with one of our professionals.

Click here for a block schedule page or a 24/7 schedule sheet to help you get organized.

What Does it Cost?

Tutoring is free to current TC3 students on a drop-in, first-come, first-served basis. We do ask students to sign in (and out) so that we can keep data on our services and receive some state funding for the time they spend with us.

What Should I Do Before Asking For Tutorial Services?

  • Come On In: You are welcome to come into one of the tutoring areas to study or work on homework. Please bring your ID. Sign in when you arrive and out when you leave.
  • Come Prepared: Before asking for help, spend some time with your work so that you have a better sense of what you need help with.
  • Take an Active Role in Tutoring. Don’t expect to sit back and "leave the driving to us." You will learn more when you are an active participant so let us guide you and not drive you. Bring your assignment sheet also.
  • Be patient and respectful toward the tutors and other tutees. We will try to help everyone who comes in for help, but at times, you might have to wait a few minutes. Try to plan enough time in your schedule.
