Office Management and Administration

A.A.S. Degree

Strong office administrators and managers are the backbone of all organizations. Our degree program in office management and administration prepares you for a career as an assistant, administrative assistant, executive assistant, administrative support specialist, coordinator, office manager, secretary, or machine transcriptionist. Students who have acquired technology skills through high school programs or by other means may qualify for advanced standing in certain subjects.

Career Opportunities

Graduates of this program are employed by firms such as Advertising Associates, Inc. , Avinet, Inc. , Cornell University, Ithaca College, Tompkins Cortland Community College, Cortland Savings Bank, Cortland and Tompkins County Departments of Social Services, Deanco, Inc. , George Junior Republic, Groton Nursing Facility, Innovative Dynamics, Inc. , J.M. Murray Center, Inc. , Wendcentral Corp. , P.W. Wood and Sons Insurance, and WHCU/WYXL. Over the past two years, all graduates seeking employment found positions with 85 percent employed directly in office administration.
