Their needs provide our graduates with a variety of exciting and rewarding career options. Architects, contractors, engineers, surveyors, testing labs, materials suppliers, colleges, and government agencies provide careers for construction technicians in design, drafting, surveying, inspection, estimating, and laboratory testing. The construction technology curriculum covers a broad range of subjects related to the construction field, including computer aided drafting and use of microcomputers, and prepares you for immediate entry into the field. Career OpportunitiesSome of the firms that have hired construction technology graduates include Barden Homes, Cornell University, SUNY Cortland, Intertek, Paul Yaman, Suit-Kote Corporation, The Thomas Group, and U.S. Geological Survey. Transfer OptionsAlthough the A.A.S. degree in construction technology is not designed primarily for transfer, graduates of this program have transferred to four-year bachelor’s degree programs in construction technology, forestry, and facilities management.
