![]() Manufacturing Management TechnologyCertificateCompetition is tough. Skilled people at all levels of the manufacturing process help a company keep its competitive edge. Local manufacturers requested the manufacturing management technology certificate program to help their employees develop skills to move up the career ladder, which in turn helps the company perform better. The program provides course work in business, accounting, math, and communications skills. Specialized training includes production control, operations management, team dynamics, problem solving methods, drafting, and tools for quality management. Manufacturing technologies and techniques focus on cycle time reduction, just-in-time manufacturing, ISO 9000, Statistical Process Control, flow charting, and computer aided drafting. Unlike degree programs that require liberal arts courses, this certificate program requires only core courses directly related to manufacturing management technology. You may take the program full-time or part-time. Course work can be completed in two semesters of full-time study. Career AdvancementThe manufacturing management technology certificate will help put you on a career track as a manufacturing professional, engineering assistant, project manager, or cell leader. The program is designed specifically to meet the needs of employees who work for local manufacturing companies. The companies themselves have requested specific course work to help their employees move to higher-level positions in their organizations. Transfer OptionsThe courses required in the manufacturing management technology certificate program may be used to fulfill program requirements for an associate degree in General Studies. This degree is designed for transfer to related bachelor’s degree programs at four-year colleges and universities. For specific transfer information, contact the Counseling, Career, and Transfer Services office.
