Title: Alumni
Hometown: McGraw
Background: A Service Tradition of TC3 scholarship, coupled with acceptance into the Walt Disney World Program, changed Tawnya Elliott's life.

What was your most distinct memory at TC3? The Service Tradition Scholarship and TC3 really opened my eyes to the world. I am from a small town outside Cortland. In Orlando I was living on my own as part of the Walt Disney World program, and learning from a major corporation.

First time on your own? Oh yeah. Here I was, this small-town girl, and now I’m living on my own in a big city. It was exciting.

And you worked for TC3? I worked for residence life, but I was commuting from Auburn and it was just too much in the long run. But I loved it there. I have nothing but good things to say about TC3, from my experience as a student and as an employee.

What’s going on in your life now? I live in Auburn and work for a major hotel chain. It’s a good job, and I like the city. Also, we’re about to buy our first house. It’s an exciting time.

Anything you’d like to say to the people at TC3? Just thank you. Thank you for the opportunity, which wouldn’t have been possible without the Foundation support. And thank you for opening up the world to me. I’m very grateful.
